The Safi thermal power plant is the first in Africa to use ultra-supercritical technology. The aim is to significantly reduce CO2 emissions as well as lower fuel costs by increasing efficiency by 10% compared to conventional coal-fired power plants. Annual production at the plant covers 25% of national electricity demand.
As a result of its dual civil engineering and construction expertise, BYMARO was awarded the contracts for all 34 of the project’s buildings, representing a built surface area of 54,000 m2.
